This program will be a review of the main clinical findings reported at this year’s American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) Annual Meeting.
This program is intended for gastroenterologists who are not able to attend the annual liver meeting and for internists and general practitioners who are interested in the latest news about liver disease.
Guest faculty Dr. Kenneth Rothstein from Drexel College of Medicine and Dr. David Sass from Jefferson Medical College will join Dr. Santiago Munoz, medical director of the Capital Health Center for Liver Disease, part of the Capital Health Center for Digestive Health. They will present the news on viral hepatitis C, B and E, liver cancer, cirrhosis, fatty liver and liver transplantation relevant to clinical practice.
Please note that due to the short lead time, no CME credits will be available on this program. Nonetheless, we plan to have an exciting educational morning with the latest news in liver disease.
Educational Objectives: Following completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
1. Evaluate new clinical findings and information in liver disease
2. Review the key reports and highlights of the 2013 AASLD annual meeting
3. Describe advances in treatment of hepatitis C, B, NASH and liver cancer
4. Review new knowledge in portal hypertension and liver transplantation.
The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Princeton, 102 Carnegie Center in Princeton, NJ.
