Chief Information Officer
Gene Grochala is currently responsible for information systems, telecommunications, library services and media resources for Capital Health. He previously served as the director of Information Systems at Helene Fuld Medical Center and Chief Information Officer at CentraState Medical Center before returning to Capital Health as Chief Information Officer. He has both a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA from Rider University.
Grochala chairs the Trenton Health Team IS Committee and is a standing member of the New Jersey Hospital Association’s Technology and Standards Committee. He is certified in production and inventory management by the American Production and Inventory Control Society and data processing by the Institute of Certified Computer Professionals. Gene is also a patient safety leadership fellow recognized by the Health Research and Educational Trust and an active member of the Health Information Management System Society and College of Health Information Management Executives.
He resides in Robbinsville with his wife and three daughters, and is a past member of the New York Road Runners Club having run four marathons.
